Part Description
LP201750-9 Uroflowmetry
Uroflowmetry is a test that measures the volume of urine released from the body, the speed with which it is released, and how long the release takes. It allows the urologist to assess the muscle function of the urethra as well as determine if any blockage exists due to blockage or obstruction. It may also be used to diagnose weak bladder or enlarged prostate in males. The speed of urine flow is measured electronically and the flow rate is calculated as milliliters of urine passed per second. Both average and maximum flow rates can be measured.
